Ona Proctor is a bilingual Korean real estate finance solicitor who focuses on secured lending work representing lenders. She is also experienced in real estate investment acquisitions and disposals as well as asset management work.
Ona acts for a wide range of clients, including Korean banks, Korean investment banks, UK clearing banks, international banks, institutional lenders and specialist lenders.
She focuses on secured lending for high-value complex transactions, including refinance, developments and acquisitions.
Ona has significant experience in assets including logistics, hotels, retail parks, offices, care homes and schools.
She also often advises Korean clients on project managing, in addition to providing efficient pragmatic legal advice for their secured lending and equity acquisition transactions within the UK and Europe.
- Project managing and reviewing City of London Law Society (CLLS) certificate of title of 18 commercial properties in relation to the lending of £70m.
- Assisting with the financing of an unregistered freehold industrial estate (subject to more than 30 corporate tenants) for the lending of £40m.
- Advising on a development loan of over £30m for a portfolio of care homes around the UK.
- Acting on a Murabahah compliant debt funding in the sum of £30m to finance the construction costs of a substantial office development in central London.
- Acted for a Korean investment bank on its secured lending in the sum of £60m to refinance two luxury hotels in Barcelona whilst facilitating security using English law.
- Supporting British Land and Royal London in the asset management work related to their various retail stores and out-of-town retail shopping centres.
- Acting on the £20m investment acquisition of an industrial site subject to occupational leases and a top seller's option agreement. Part of the property was sold on the basis of the buyer securing planning permission for commercial development.
Ona is an avid flute player who used to play in orchestra and Ceili band.
